The Pure Irony of It All

There are less than a handful of people who have the ability to get me away from my jet ski. And the pure irony of it all is that none of them can even give me the time of day.

So the truth is, I'm not actually addicted to the sport of jet skiing, nor I am obsessed with it. I'm only trying to find enjoyment in it as a secondary activity, since the people I really want to be with cannot make the time to spend with me.

Celebrate!

Jet Skiing is always a good way to celebrate, no matter what the occasion...whether its getting married, having a baby, or getting first place in a competition.

Facebook

I am now focusing my online efforts on Facebook, where I have found a lot of the friends I've made over the past decade.

Here is a picture of my friends Todd (in the mustang) and Jared (on the dirt bike), both extreme sport enthusiasts who are part of my jet skiing/wakeboarding team.

The 2007 Jet Ski Season...

Has officially begun!!

Around 3:45 p.m. today the beast got off to a smooth start, cruising easily to top speed. The beast continued to impress with its jet rocket acceleration, the 0-70 mph boost that Kirsten referred to as "immediate, [with] no timeframe".  I also managed to somehow brave the icy, numbing waters and wakeboard a few times.

Earlier today Todd and I were riding the small dirt bike around in the woods, and after awhile Todd suggested we take out the beast because it was getting a little warm. It didn't stay warm, but I had gotten the beast ready to go so we went to the lake anyway. On the way up, I contemplated possibly selling the beast, and in its place getting two Yamaha Raptors instead (660cc quads) to ride on the maze of dirt trails right behind my place. But, I thought, let's see what happens today and how the beast performs.

Well, the beast answered with blinding speed and acceleration. Yeah, I'm keeping it, and its still the top activity. The small dirt bike was merely a footnote on the beast's epic...well you know.

Todd was my accomplice today, and he knew how to tow a wakeboarder. He got the ride of his life.
